DAHON @ CABDA New York 2025
Auto And Tech | On January 15, the CABDA EAST Expo began in the Meadowlands Exposition Center in revolutionary York, where DAHON unveiled their revolutionary “D-VELO” technology, which piqued the curiosity of both cycling experts and enthusiasts.
A New Era at CABDA EAST.
CABDA EAST 2025 drew over 100 global bicycle businesses, offering a one-of-a-kind platform to demonstrate cycling’s latest trends and cutting-edge technology. The event attracted cycling professionals and enthusiasts from the East Coast, New England, and the Mid-Atlantic, providing an intriguing insight into the future of the cycling industry.
DAHON unveiled a number of new models that incorporate its revolutionary “D-VELO” technology. The event’s highlight was a presentation by micro-mobility expert Dr. Jonathan Weinert, who provided a riveting case study on DAHON’s quest of excellence in bike frame design, focusing on incremental weight, durability, and speed improvements.
Introducing “D-VELO” Technology.
In light of recent micromobility trends, Dr. Weinert began by discussing industry reactions to users’ growing demands for practicality, performance, and durability. Among the latest bike and e-bike designs, he highlighted how D-VELO provides solutions to common bicycle design issues.
“D-VELO” refers to DAHON’s exclusive method to bicycle design and testing, with a concentration on frame design applications. D-VELO optimizes frame rigidity and improves critical structural aspects, resulting in more efficient pedaling force, increased speed performance, and an overall better riding experience.
Key Products on Display:
To allow visitors to experience the excitement of D-VELO firsthand, the following new models were shown at CABDA:
K-Feather: A lightweight e-bike built with “D-VELO” technology, which sets a new standard in the electric-assist category. It blends simplicity and functionality, with a 40-kilometer range and a weight of just 26.5 pounds (12 kilograms), making it ideal for daily commuting and short getaways.
Vélodon A4: After testing, the bike’s revolutionary Eagle Frame design—including Soaring Top Tube, Eagle Triangle, and Straightened Seat Stay—improves rigidity by 32.9% over normal road bikes, resulting in faster and more efficient riding.
Hemingway GR: This gravel folding bike, built for city and off-road adventures, provides a smooth ride across a variety of terrains. Its lightweight aluminum frame and adaptable tires make it a good choice for bikers who want both performance and practicality.
Looking to the future
DAHON’s debut of these models expands its offers beyond folding bikes and contributes to the progress of the bicycle industry as a whole.
As CABDA EAST came to a close, participants praised DAHON’s “D-VELO” technology, cementing the company’s position as an industry leader in bicycle innovation.
DAHON’s adventure will continue with the CABDA MIDWEST Expo in Chicago on February 12-13, when the business will display further developments in bicycle technology.
