Auto & Tech | Cagayan de Oro: A Gem of Progress and Tradition Amidst the Northern Mindanao | Over a decade ago, my career journey as a zone manager for Ford Motors initially brought me to Cagayan de Oro. Even back then, the city seemed poised for change. The city’s transformation from a sleepy village to a thriving metropolis is a monument to the Filipino people’s optimistic and hardworking nature, and it leaves me in awe as I walk its streets once again.
Although Cagayan de Oro has become increasingly metropolitan, it still has character. High-rise buildings may start to blot out the skyline, but the city itself moves at a slow, steady pace. This harmonious performance of urban and rural elements is a unique symphony that attests to the city’s well-rounded growth.
The Kagay-anons’ hospitality was very welcoming. Cagayan de Oro’s residents are the city’s beating soul. Their antics give new meaning to the adage, “It’s more fun in the Philippines.” The franchisee who hosted me was exemplary of the true warmth for which this area is famed. It’s the kind of friendliness that makes a business meeting feel more like a get-together with relatives.
In spite of all the niceties being spoken, my attention was drawn to the increasing volume of traffic, which is sure evidence of a thriving economy. Although it may be a sore spot for some, I see it as a great opportunity for the auto repair market. The need for reliable auto repair has increased dramatically as the number of vehicles on the road has grown. There is room for growth in the market for a company that can deliver on the promise of top-notch vehicle maintenance in this area.
The traffic situation in Cagayan de Oro is indicative of the city’s readiness for an auto service provider capable of providing not only services but also solutions. To fill that role, we are available. We can revolutionize the after-sales service market by focusing on the needs of today’s Filipino motorists while maintaining a homey atmosphere.
As Cagayan de Oro moves into the future, the potential for the vehicle maintenance sector is tremendous. The difficulty lies not merely in breaking into the market but also in being a permanent part of the city’s development. To this end, we plan to combine cutting-edge automotive care with the customary Kagay-anon touch, creating an atmosphere where customers are treated like family and their vehicles are given the TLC they deserve.
My trip to Cagayan de Oro was more than just for work; it felt like returning to a familiar spot where the present and the past can coexist without strain. Our cue is the expanding city. It’s time to get our hands dirty and help shape the city’s story by providing services that exemplify the city’s unique blend of hospitality, professionalism, and creativity.
