Auto And Tech | MANILA, Philippines– Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) will welcome its first female president and CEO, Maria Socorro Isabelle “Mybelle” Aragon-GoBio, on February 1.
In a filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, January 6, RLC also disclosed Lance Gokongwei’s departure from the company’s top position. However, he will continue to serve as the firm’s executive chairman.
The family’s real estate firm also commended Gokongwei for his “visionary leadership” and crucial achievements during his one-year tenure as CEO.
Gokongwei took over RLC on January 8, 2024, after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. named Frederick Go as Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs.

‘A visionary leader’
Aragon-GoBio will take over RLC, bringing 30 years of real estate experience with her. She began working for RLC in 1993 and has subsequently held senior positions in logistics, residential, and office developments.
Aragon-GoBio is now RLC’s senior vice president.
She also serves as a director for Altus Property Ventures and the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation (LIPAD), which oversees Clark International Airport operations.

RLC stated that Aragon-GoBio’s hiring will usher in a period of transformative growth and innovation. “Her commitment to synergy, customer-centricity, and operational excellence will undoubtedly strengthen RLC’s leadership in the real estate industry and deliver even greater value to our stakeholders,” according to the announcement.
Aragon-GoBio graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 1993 with a Management Engineering degree and a minor in International Business from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
Her elevation to RLC’s top job comes as another Gokongwei sibling, Robina Gokongwei-Pe, handed over Robinsons Retail to its new president and CEO, Stanley Co. Co is Robinsons Retail’s first non-Gokongweis CEO.
