Auto And Tech | The eAxle, developed jointly by BluE Nexus Corporation, Aisin Corporation, and DENSO Corporation, will be used in Suzuki’s first mass-produced battery electric vehicle (BEV), the e VITARA.
The e VITARA was created with the concept of a “Emotional Versatile Cruiser.” The vehicle’s design combines a modern and muscular feel with a BEV powertrain that provides the swift and snappy driving performance expected of a BEV.
The newly adopted eAxle employs a tiny motor and inverter to achieve excellent power density and dynamic performance. Furthermore, its loss reduction technique adds to efficient electrical usage.
The product will be supplied by BluE’s Indian subsidiary, BluE Nexus Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., and manufactured in India, where Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited manufactures the vehicle, in order to contribute to Suzuki’s global rollout of BEVs in accordance with market demand.
BluE, Aisin, and DENSO will continue to develop compact, highly efficient, low-cost products based on their unique strengths and know-how. The three companies will also help to the realisation of a carbon-neutral world by installing their products in electric vehicles of all types via BluE.
