A bespoke concept car inspired by the universe of Metal Gear Solid (by Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.) will be on display for the Outlander PHEV’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model, which was revised in October of last year. There will also be a customized Delica D:5 minivan, a Triton rally car, and Delica D:5 and Delica Mini support cars from Asia Cross Country Rally 2024 (AXCR 2024).
Brand Ambassador Hiromi’s handmade Triton
This customized version of the Triton was designed to integrate into urban driving settings by taking a pickup truck with large-diameter wheels and high ground clearance and dropping it as low as feasible. Its metal-plated components are matte wrapped to convey a sophisticated appearance.
Winning vehicle in the Triton custom contest
The model that won the Triton custom competition will be on exhibit.
Triton event truck equipped with a DJ booth.
This event vehicle was designed in collaboration with Red Bull Japan Co., Ltd. to serve as a sound center for the dancing events and other activities they organize. The Triton’s cargo bed includes a DJ booth, which allows for actual DJ performances at parties.
Outlander PHEV Night Seeker Concept.
This unique concept car is based on the Outlander PHEV, which has excellent road handling and SUV capabilities. Its design is inspired by the hit video game series Metal Gear Solid (by Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd). This car is designed to fascinate all generations of users who want authenticity, with a stunning harmony between Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to creating cars that arrive at their destinations without fail, even on the most difficult routes, and the realistic stealth action of the Metal Gear Solid game series.
Delica D:5 Black Edition Active Seeker.
Based on the Delica D:5 Black Edition, this vehicle has a gunmetal matte finish with a low saturation green tint. Its graphics, which are inspired by the geography of Tokachi, Hokkaido, where Mitsubishi Motors’ proving facility is located, give drivers the impression that they are exploring out in the field and are capable of taking on any type of adventure.
AXCR 2024 Triton Rally Car
This rally car is based on the Triton, which had its global premiere in 2023 and has been modified to meet the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Group T1 criteria (modified cross-country vehicle). Based on the results of the previous year’s participation, its power performance has been improved to compete with high-displacement adversaries on high-speed tracks. The vehicle’s off-road capabilities has also been greatly improved by expanding the tread and upgrading the rear suspension from a leaf spring system to a four-link rigid system with coil springs. This enables the Triton to keep its outstanding balance while still excelling at off-road speed.
AXCR 2024 Delica D:5 support vehicle.
This support car, which takes advantage of the Delica D:5’s ruggedness, maneuverability, and road handling, is outfitted with a lift-up suspension, off-road tires, and an aluminum engine guard to enhance its off-road capabilities. During AXCR 2024, it helped Team Mitsubishi Ralliart navigate a difficult course of almost 2,000 kilometers over seven days.
AXCR 2024 Delica Mini Support Car
The Delica Mini support car, which will make its debut in the AXCR 2024, features a lift-up suspension, all-terrain tires, and an engine guard to improve its off-road capabilities. Despite being a kei-car, it completed the entire rally course of approximately 2,000 kilometers, including flat dirt and muddy roads, and provided support to the team throughout.
